Mary Bell is a WNBF Figure Pro, Competition Coach based out of San Diego, CA and the Owner of Center Stage Figures. Mary became involved in the sport of Figure in 2000, when a friend dared her to enter a show. At that time Figure was brand new and the current outlines and rules were not clearly stated. To prepare for her first show, she trained extremely hard, maintained a strict pre-competition diet, and she prepared herself for the competitions without the use of steroids or drugs of any kind. This is still how Mary maintains her on-season as well as her growing season. Her first competition was all that Mary needed to become hooked in the sport, however five minutes before getting on stage she was told she would have to perform quarter turns. Having no idea what this was, she watched the other girls before she entered the stage. That experience lead to Mary perfecting the Art of Figure Presentation, she is one of the first women to solely work with and train aspiring Figure |
competitors and has made a name in the sport as the "Best Figure Coach"!
Mary has a positive attitude and a realistic view when it comes to competition. She acknowledges that her chosen sport is a tough one especially for women, keeping that in mind she continues to strive for perfection in her sport, and she realizes that without a positive attitude and a strong mind you can defeat yourself before you even get started.
Ms. Bell puts in the work necessary to win, and when she steps on stage everyone can tell that she is a winner even if she doesn't take home the prize that day, and she tries to instill in her clients the same positive attitude, will power, and zest for life that she displays at every competition.
When training clients Mary leads by example, and her expertise as an instructor is unsurpassed. Her inspirational words and actions help her clients to eliminate the fear of failure and progress to their maximum potential. Remember...

In addition to holding several Pro Titles, Mary also maintains a professional career and holds a Masters Degree from UMAB, School of Social Work.
Mary is not only a top Figure Athlete with the WNBF she is also one of the few Female Show Promoters. Each May in the Washington DC area, Mary hosts the WNBF Center Stage Figure Championships and the INBF Natural North America.
